WMD LIES, OIL MAPS & DOMINATION DEMENTIA

Core Source Findings

Howard Zinn argued before the invasion that Iraqi WMD possession, even if true, did not create a “clear and present danger” justifying war. He later mocked the WMD claims as “lies, lies, lies,” pointing to failed claims about drones, mobile labs, and decontamination trucks.

Noam Chomsky framed Iraq as a matter of domination, not liberation. He emphasized that Iraq itself had been an artificial imperial construction tied to British control of northern oil, later maintained by U.S. power.

Chris Harman read the Iraq War through the lens of capitalism and imperialism: modern capitalism merges state power, military force, and capital accumulation, producing repeated wars, occupations, and crises.

Thom Hartmann has repeatedly framed the Iraq War as a lie-based corporate war that enriched Halliburton and similar firms while killing Americans and Iraqis.

The Iraq Survey Group found no active Iraqi WMD stockpiles after the invasion; the Cheney Energy Task Force had Iraq oil-field maps and “Foreign Suitors for Iraqi Oilfield Contracts” documents dated March 2001, before 9/11.

THE LIE THAT OPENED THE GATE

Bush, Cheney, Blair, and their media amplifiers told the public Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. The tale functioned as a ritual fear-trigger: terrify the public, sanctify the invasion, silence dissent.

Dominator Pattern: Yahweh/Enlil-style obedience demand: Fear the enemy. Trust the war chiefs. Attack first.

Cooperator Response: Ninmah consciousness asks: Who benefits? Who dies? Who profits?

Visual Prompt:
Bright realistic collage: U.S. and British officials at podiums with “WMD” headlines behind them; below, Iraqi families look upward in fear as bombers cross the sky; split lighting, public fear above, civilian vulnerability below.

CHENEY, OIL MAPS & THE DIVISION OF IRAQ

Before the invasion, Cheney’s Energy Task Force possessed Iraqi oil-field maps and lists of foreign companies interested in Iraqi oil contracts. That does not prove a single-cause oil conspiracy, but it strongly supports your framing: Iraq’s resources were already being studied as spoils of geopolitical restructuring.

Speculative Voice Quote:
“The wells are not just wells,” the oilmen might have said. “They are arteries. Control the arteries, and you control the body.”

Visual Prompt:
Realistic boardroom scene: suited executives and officials lean over a glowing map of Iraqi oil fields; ghosted beneath the table, Iraqi workers and children stand over cracked desert soil; no fantasy, sharp daylight, political realism.

ZINN: THE PEOPLE ARE MISSING FROM THE WAR STORY

Zinn insisted that official war talk erased ordinary people. Politicians discussed weapons, strategy, regime change, and oil, but not the civilians beneath the bombs.

Imagined Civilian Quote:
“I did not vote in Washington. I did not sit in Saddam’s palace. Yet the missile found my street.”

Visual Prompt:
Documentary-style Baghdad neighborhood at dawn after bombing; civilians carry water, blankets, and injured elders; no gore; ruined buildings, dust, sunlight through smoke; emotional but respectful.

CHOMSKY: LIBERATION RHETORIC, IMPERIAL STRUCTURE

Chomsky’s critique: the invasion was sold as liberation, but U.S. power had long helped structure the region for strategic control. He noted Iraq’s modern borders were built through imperial arrangements tied to oil and dependency.

Dominator Pattern: Create dependency, then call domination “order.”

Visual Prompt:
Historical montage: British colonial mapmakers drawing Iraq’s borders; transition to U.S. military planners and oil tankers; background shows Iraqi civilians separated by imposed borders and checkpoints.

HARMAN: CAPITALISM TURNS CRISIS INTO WAR

Harman’s framework helps explain Iraq as systemic, not accidental. Capitalism repeatedly fuses state power, corporate interest, and military expansion. War becomes a tool for opening markets, securing resources, disciplining regions, and generating contracts.

Speculative Soldier Quote, U.S./British:
“They told us we were stopping WMD. Then we guarded ministries, pipelines, and convoys.”

Visual Prompt:
Three-panel image: left, soldiers entering Baghdad; center, oil infrastructure under guard; right, contractors receiving paperwork and payments; caption: “War destroys below while contracts expand above.”

IRAQI SOLDIERS, AMERICAN SOLDIERS, BRITISH SOLDIERS: ALL FED INTO THE WAR MACHINE

The soldiers on all sides were caught in hierarchy. Iraqi conscripts faced invasion and collapse. U.S. and British troops faced fear, confusion, propaganda, and orders. Civilians carried the heaviest burden.

Imagined Iraqi Soldier Quote:
“Saddam commands us. America bombs us. Where is Iraq in this?”

Imagined U.S. Soldier Quote:
“I came looking for weapons. I found families, fear, and orders I could not understand.”

Visual Prompt:
Realistic split scene: Iraqi soldier lowering his rifle in a ruined street; U.S. soldier standing uncertain beside a Humvee; British soldier watches civilians pass; no triumphalism, daylight, human faces, moral ambiguity.

  1. NINMAH’S COUNTER-CURRENT: COOPERATIVE CONSCIOUSNESS

Against Domination Dementia, Ninmah/The Great Anunnaki Goddess represents preservation, repair, relationship, mothering, negotiation, and life-centered intelligence.

Cooperator Principle: Security does not come from conquest. It comes from food, water, dignity, sovereignty, and mutual restraint.

Visual Prompt:
Symbolic realistic scene: Iraqi, American, British, and international peace workers rebuild a clinic; women distribute water; soldiers set weapons aside; sunlight, warm colors, no fantasy glow.

  1. IRAQ 2003 & IRAN 2026: SAME SCRIPT, NEW TARGET

The Iraq script: terrifying weapons claim, demonized leader, oil/geostrategic stakes, media obedience, civilian suffering. The Iran confrontation likewise centers nuclear claims, regional dominance, oil transit, Strait of Hormuz pressure, and U.S./Israeli military escalation. Current reporting says U.S.-Iran tensions remain focused on ceasefire terms, nuclear demands, missiles, sanctions, and the Strait of Hormuz.

Comparison Caption:
Iraq taught the empire that WMD stories move the public. Iran tests whether the public remembers.

Visual Prompt:
Split geopolitical collage: left, 2003 Baghdad with “WMD” headlines; right, 2026 Strait of Hormuz with oil tankers, missiles, and negotiation tables; center, civilians from Iraq and Iran facing the viewer.

Suggested Featured Image

Prompt:
Bright, realistic geopolitical collage titled “WMD LIES, OIL MAPS & DOMINATION DEMENTIA.” Center: cracked map of Iraq with oil fields glowing subtly. Left: Bush, Cheney, and Blair at podiums under “WMD” headlines. Right: oil executives studying maps. Foreground: Iraqi civilians, U.S. soldiers, British soldiers, and Iraqi soldiers all caught in the same dust-filled battlefield. Background: ancient shadow-symbols of Yahweh/Enlil and Marduk/Satan as domination archetypes, balanced by a luminous but realistic mother-goddess presence representing Ninmah and cooperative consciousness. No gore. Daylight clarity. Cinematic realism.
