Your Wisdom Figures
EXPERIENTIAL EXERCISE FOR YOU
By Sasha Alex Lessin, Ph.D., Dean, School of Counseling
The wisdom figures in the graphic below are mine. I didn’t include photos of Irving and Shelley Lessin, Robert Reich, Stan Grof, Dick Price, Roger Woolger, Carl Rogers, John Lennon, or Janet Kira Lessin who, for me, also embody intelligence, inspiration and reflection. For the exercise below, use your own paragons.
LIST STEPPINGSTONES IN GROWTH OF YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS
Go back over the experiences in each chapter of your Life. Look for, relive, and emotionally re-experience the times when you felt intensely involved with humanitarian, artistic, philosophical, loving or religious interests. Remember the situations, circumstances and effects on you of times in your life when you had a sense of being a part a larger group, an exemplar of true love, an instrument of beneficent historical forces, an atom of ecological conscioness, a bubble in the foam of a single ocean of consciousness, an aspect of God’s will. “Recapitulate the main experiences, speculations and beliefs by which we have each sought in our own way to relate ourselves to the ultimate truths of human existence.”*
Write your entries in the order in which you recall them.
ORGANIZE STEPS INTO THE ORDER OF THEIR APPEARANCE
Number your entries to show the order in which they occurred.
Notice the unity of development–the thread of continuity–that runs through your separate peak experiences, awakenings, spiritual insights, and intimations of your higher self and purposes in life.
READ EACH STEP ALOUD AS YOU WRITE IT
If you are doing this work with partners, listen to theirs too.
REREAD ENTRIES, LISTING PEOPLE WHO HELP YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS GROW
Experientially put yourself back at each of your spiritual steps. Be aware of persons influencing you at each step. Notice the people whom you associate with the lessons you are learning at each stage. They may have influenced you in direct interaction. Or you may have been influenced by some of them because you felt deeply or identified with them. Others, perhaps, became wisdom figures for you through their writing, music, art or political action.
From each period of the development of your consciousness, list your wisdom figures, paragons, models, teachers, allies, spirit guides, encouragers, inspirations and growth challengers. Some are living; some, dead. Some are known personally; some are historical, some mythical, some archetypal, some divine.
Also list your current wisdom figures.
Make your entries down the left column of a page, leaving a few blank lines after each entry.
DIALOGUE WITH ONE OF YOUR WISE ONES
PARADE YOUR WISDOM PARAGONS, ONE-BY-ONE, BEFORE YOU
As you write the name of each wisdom figure from each period of your life, see how they look to you at the time. Listen to their voices and any sounds and songs with which you associate them. Be aware of your emotions and bodily sensations as you re-feel your contact with them. Notice whether you associate fragrances or tastes with them.
CHOOSE ONE
Let one of them (or it may be one you just notice right now) come forth to dialogue with you.
What can be most valuable for our first Inner Wisdom Dialogue is that it be with a person the very thought of whom causes us to become quiet and feel centered within ourselves, one whose presence we have experienced in an atmosphere of profound understanding, warmth and supportive love, a person to whom we can open our hearts fully on any of our deepest concerns, and that we can do so with no reservation, knowing it will all be accepted.
Feel the presence, quality, aura of the wise one whom you receive for conversation. Be aware of the concerns, desires and life of the person you have evoked from the path of your spiritual steps.
Say his or her name aloud.
IDENTIFY WITH THE WISE ONE
Become him or her. From your perspective as the person evoked, experience the world and your invoker.
STATE YOUR EXISTENCE, WISE ONE
Say (and write) what you are like, what you want, why you want it, what you really need. Tell (and record) what you desire for the person who invited you forth for this exercise.
BECOME YOURSELF; PRESENT YOUR CONCERNS & QUESTIONS TO THE WISE ONE
BECOME YOUR WISDOM FIGURE; REPLY
Respond to your evoker; share your perspectives, compassion and counsel.
CONTINUE THE DIALOGUE
Shift roles back and forth; alternately becoming yourself and your wisdom figure. Record the script of your dialogue.
RECEIVE OBJECT
Imagine your wisdom figure gives you an object for contemplation.
Tell your wisdom figure goodbye for now. Center yourself.
REREAD
First silently, then aloud (alone or to your partners), read the dialogue.
RECEIVE TWILIGHT IMAGES
Centered, allow and record your intuitions, thoughts, mental pictures, poems, songs, feelings, and insights.
BECOME OBJECT
Say what you are like and what you represent as the symbolic object passed by the wise one.
LESSONS LEARNED FROM EACH WISDOM FIGURE
Return to your list of those influencing the development of your consciousness. Following each name, record the main learnings you associate with them. Note any unfinished communication you have with any of them; complete your communication by dialogue, alternately role-playing them, then you.
DIALOGUE WEEKLY
Follow the same procedure outlined on the preceding page to create dialogues with wisdom figures for twelve successive weeks.
Realize that the wisdom you evoke by these procedures is both personal and archetypal; it is yours and humanity’s, a part of your bodymind and a part of Earth’s, a facet of your mind and the Creator of All’s.

RAP WITH AN ARCHETYPE FROM A DREAM
Archetypes, humanity’s deep default programs in us all, give us the core unconscious pattern on which we develop our subpersonalities (the sub-menus that we develop).
At http://wp.me/p1TVCy-4sj we suggest you ask each of your subselves how you can honor and appreciate them. When you accept all your archetypes, you notice how all other people carry the same default programs and you can extend “empathy rather than enmity towards them.
Janet Lessin writes,
“JESUS, NINMAH ENKI, THOTH, MARDUK, INANNA EMANATIONS FRIEND ME DAILY ON FB
“As we move into the Age of Aquarius and the return of the Anunnaki gods, the archetypes of these gods get hot within us. The archetype and the subpersonalities within us demand our notice. All the Anunnaki patterns, right down to our very DNA, make themselves felt. Enki, Enlil, Maduk, Ninmah trigger our Creative, Commanding, Assertive and Nurturing inner voices. We have within us fractals of all that is and the fractal now activated by Nibiru’s return (or even thoughts of Nibiru’s return). Any god you think is incoming or has or will come in this 3D reality plane is here. And here strongly.
“Anu, Alalu, Thoth, Inanna, Jesus, Satan, Lucifer, Mary, Ninurta, Yahweh, Adonai, Hura Mazda, Allah, Krishna and more keep saying that they are Anu, that they know they are Thoth, and so forth. They even argue about which one of them is the most real. Some come to the conclusion that they and the other Thoth embodied different aspects of Thoth-Ningishzidda’s personality.”
Some people consciously embody several Anunnaki spirits. Penre reports Surpreim David Rockefeller embodying Anunnaki are aware of several within them.”
The Anunnaki, 8-12 foot-tall Homo Sapiens from the planet Nibiru who adapted their genome to Earth with a few Homo Erectus genes, some copper and some African clay to created our species 300,000 years ago, dictated their doings to Sumerian Scribes some 11,000 years ago.
How Marvel Comics sees the Anunnaki gods
The tales the Sumerians recorded of their “gods’ ” behavior and the observations of our ancestors imprinted behavioral propensities on us all that, if we remain unconscious of them, keep us competing, warring, slaving, and exploiting one another and the planet. If we become conscious of these Anunnaki models, archetypes, voices, ishidevas, paragons or subselves within us, we can find out what they really need beneath their demands. Their deepest needs, can–when we coordinate them from a higher, more inclusive and discriminating Center–lead both to personal integration and give us the empathy we need to synergize with others who seem to personify Anunnaki archetypes we tend to repress.
The demand, for example, of our inner Rebel, personified by Marduk, the man promised rule of Nibiru but denied it, we can see that he needs recognition, affection, respect and see that he get it in ways that do not deny other aspects of ourselves their needs.
Marduk (Sataan) in his Zeus persona
The Munich Olympic terrorists who embody the need for respect gone demonic for denial, for example, who married, got jobs and families, stopped terrorizing.
Particularly powerful Anunnaki archetypes are the stereotypes of the Patriarch (Enlil, Yahweh, Allah), the Matriarch (Inanna), the Partnership Mediator (Ninmah), the Scientist (Enki) and the Enlightened One (Ningishzidda-Thoth), the Protector (Ninurta), the Commerce Captain (Nannar), and the Rebel (Marduk). We all have each of these as manifest or latent inner voices that each, at base, beneath their unreasonable demands, has needs that, if coordinated from our centers, can be met.
Dr. Lessin suggests to the panel members as well as you the audience and reader create a dialogue from your Center with each Anunnaki subself. Find out when that inner voice came out, how it has served you, what it wants, why it wants what it wants, and what it really needs.
On this internet radio show, panel members share the Anunnaki archetypes–as well as the Creator-of-All– that motivate them, as well as the archetypes they suppress.
We ask you too, to ask each of your own subselves how you can honor and appreciate them. You assess your situation from your neutral inner Witness and coordinate your actions so all your inner selves get a chance to express themselves. When you accept all your archetypes, you notice how other people are just like you and extend empathy rather than enmity towards them.
Here’s some of the prominent Anunnaki archetypes: Anu, Enki, Enlil, Ninmah, Nigishzidda, Marduk, Anu, Innana, Ereshkigal, Ninurta, Nannar, Nergal, Alalu. You can learn of them in depth (which you can access before you do the exploration I recommend below) at Anunnaki Who’s Who with illustrations from Marduk: King of Earth.
Dr. Sasha Lessin adds:
EXPERIENTIAL TO MAKE THIS INFO USEFUL TO YOU AND THE WORLD
Here’s an exercise for you to use to explore the Anunnaki archetypes within YOU. Follow the instructions and, if so motivated, share your results on this site.
Recline. Have your partner read the cues aloud, one at a time, to you. Tell him or her to wait till you fully finish responding to one cue sentence before reading the next. Or just do the exercise alone. If, during the exercise, you need more time before going on to the next cue, raise your right index finger.
Close your eyes. Become centered and receptive. Picture or just feel as though you’re in a special place, a sanctuary where you can receive a message from deeper consciousness.
Picture or just sense an Anunnaki archetype that symbolizes your current challenge, a fantasy you have, one of your repetitive life motifs, a mood or a worry you’d like to understand better. Tell me what you see.
Identify with the archetype you thought of; become it. As it, say your NAME out loud.
As the archetype, say WHAT YOU ARE LIKE.
Become yourself again. Ask the Archetype a QUESTION.
Be the archetype again and reply.
As the archetype, tell the person playing you WHAT YOU WANT of her or him and what you need.
Be yourself again. Tell the archetype the realistic LIMITATIONS you, as a socially conscious person, enmeshed with family, friends and institutions must live.
Conduct a dialogue with it about its expression and your limits. Shift between being the archetype and yourself as appropriate.
Ask it if it has rivals.
*Establish a similar DIALOGUE with any RIVAL ARCHETYPES suggested by the one with whom you initially spoke.
Become each rival archetype and dialogue with the other archetype until you and they feel unity.
Agree on a ritual and a place you and the archetype can meet again.
Perform a mental ritual to transit you back to ordinary reality.
Tell me how you can TRANSLATE what you learned from these dialogues INTO YOUR LIFE this week.
Take me through the cues.
