Tephera still cover Sinai–which lacks volcanos. Sinai’s tephera resulted when Ninurta’s bombed of the Spaceport. The bombs left a huge black scar on the Sinai plain (where the shuttlecraft runway and launch platform had been) so large you can see it only from satellite.
